Wuthering Heights is a house that is defined as much by its location as the structure itself. The isolation at the top of a hill on the Moors lends a deep sense of foreboding. The windows are small and deep set to provide protection from those ever-changing elemental forces wind and rain.
There is such a contrast here with the Trees at Beck Hole. They are only a few miles apart, but they could be on different worlds altogether.
