My work employs colour to explore qualities of light and shade, space and place. The subject matter is drawn from my surroundings, documenting the wide palette of people’s lives and emotions – the beauty of the everyday.
I had been drawn to this image of a seemingly lone woman in an empty bar. But she was not alone, I just couldn’t see her vis-à-vis, so I tried to depict the mystery of their meeting.
