Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826) floated from dinner party to dinner party quietly gathering material for his book ’The Physiology of Taste (1825). This portrait is part of a series of portraits I’m doing based on eccentrics and gastronomes in Paris after the Revolution. A mixture of silk screen printing and watercolour. The editions are 20, but each is very different due to the watercolour overlay that I apply after.
