For me one of the main things that was important during lockdown was the hope of going out again. Being at home all the time is an alien experience and made me long to go out to cafes and pubs again with friends.
This painting One Day We Will Go Out Again was painted during the first lockdown and is set in Columbia Road, E2. A lot of my ancestors lived in the Hoxton and Whitechapel area and so I feel a connection with it.
