The one thing that has kept me going through the pandemic is being able to paint and draw, which has been a wonderful distraction. Drawing is part of my daily routine (or planning the next one), and has always been important in my life.
The last lockdown over winter kept me inside so I created this painting of Philip and Martin. I had visited them previously and taken some photos in their cloth warehouse, which I finally had time to paint. This picture is poignant to me as Philip passed away from Covid. My job role has change and I now care for vulnerable adults, so returning to my drawing board is pure therapy! The pandemic has altered and removed many things in life but my ability to paint and draw has remained a constant.
