This very small still life shows some antique pots displayed on a kitchen shelf in an interior in Spitalfields. I was interested not only in the form and glazes of the pots, but also the crosslight effect with different warm and cool tones. Daylight was filtering in from the windows to the left of the subject, augmented by electric light from the right casting some interesting shadows from the glazing bars of an interior door.
